Krista McWilliams is the current Engineering Operations Manager for Logos Resources, LLC, a local, Farmington based oil and gas company. Krista works with her team to drill, complete and produce high quality oil and gas wells in the San Juan Basin. In 2019, Krista was appointed by Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham to the State of New Mexico’s Water Quality Control Commission.  Prior to joining Logos, she founded Diamond Derrick Consulting, a Farmington, NM-based provider of high-quality oil and gas project and data management services. Since forming Diamond Derrick in 2008, Krista and her team have provided support for local and national clients including ConocoPhillips, LINN Energy, Pioneer Resources and Logos Resources. Prior to founding Diamond Derrick, Krista was a senior engineer with ConocoPhillips and Burlington Resources in various capacities. 

Krista holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with highest honors from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. Krista’s passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education in the Farmington community has inspired her to become involved in various STEM related initiatives. Krista is a 2020 graduate of Leadership New Mexico, and a 2017 graduate of Leadership San Juan. Krista has served on the New Mexico Natural History Museum Foundation board since 2017 and serves as Vice President on the Aztec Municipal School District Foundation since 2018.

Why do you believe in Four Corners Economic Development (4CED)?

4CED is the community’s advocate. It waves the flag that says “look over here and what about us!” It advances the community’s organizations and business goals and helps the citizens who live and work here to be a healthy, thriving unit. When we do it together, we can do more.

Why did you want to serve on 4CED’s board?

I want to serve and use my skills to be a part of the community I love.

Why do you love to live and work in San Juan County?

San Juan County is my home. My husband and I could have picked another location to start and run our business but the people are amazing and the outdoor landscape is beautiful.
